Your practice data should stay understandable.
This policy explains what ClearTake needs to run a speaking practice, why it is used, and the controls available to you.

Data we collect
ClearTake collects the information needed to create an account and run your practice loop. Depending on how you use the product, this can include:
- Account details such as your email address, display name, and sign- in provider identifier.
- Practice details such as a scenario, question, audience, selected goal, and the settings you confirm.
- Audio recordings, final transcripts, word or sentence timing, and the feedback and analysis derived from them.
- Basic request and usage information needed for security, reliability, and support.
When you buy access, ClearTake receives purchase and subscription status information and provider reference IDs. Card numbers and other complete payment details are handled by the payment provider, not stored in ClearTake.
How we use data
We use your data to:
- authenticate your account and keep your workspace available;
- store, transcribe, and analyze a practice you start;
- show take comparisons, saved history, and account access;
- prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and answer support requests;
- understand aggregate product reliability and usage patterns.
ClearTake does not use your private practice content to publish a public scenario page. Public preset scenarios are separate from the custom topics you enter in your workspace.
Processing and sharing
To return a transcript and focused feedback, ClearTake may send audio or transcript data to selected speech, storage, and analysis service providers. They process the data only to provide the service we request, subject to their own terms and security practices.
We may also share limited information with people who help us host, secure, maintain, or support ClearTake. We do not sell your personal information. We disclose information when necessary to comply with a valid legal request, protect the service, or prevent harm.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and practice data while it is needed to provide your workspace, maintain access records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Retention can differ by plan and by the type of data.
You can delete a practice from the product where that control is available. Deleting a practice removes its audio, transcript, and derived analysis from the active workspace. Limited copies may remain temporarily in encrypted backups before they are rotated out.
To request account deletion or ask what remains associated with your account, use the support contact below. We may need to verify that the request belongs to you.
Your choices
You can:
- review, download, or delete practice data supported by the product;
- close your account and request deletion of associated data;
- ask us to correct inaccurate account information;
- turn off optional real-time transcription when the control is shown.
Some data may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance. We will explain the reason if that applies to a request.
